Sure, this industry has a lot of recognizable photographers but none may be more traveled, and more ubiquitous behind the lens, than the one and only Ricky Rich. Whether it’s to shoot a grand opening, an industry convention or just to capture a feature entertainer’s performance as she comes through the greater Midwest, Ricky always seems to be in the thick of it all capturing the moments that most of us can’t get to in person. In our new online section, ‘Ricky on the Road,’ our road warrior will submit visual correspondences from clubs and competitions throughout the US.
First up, Ricky traveled recently to owner Anthony Buttita‘s ED award-winning club Blackjacks in Elgin, Illinois to shoot the staff and some of their feature performers such as Lauren Phillips and Brittany Andrews. Then it was onto Wisconsin’s Oval Office club to capture former ED Entertainer of the Year, Natasha Nova and her Willy Wonka and Wonder Woman shows, and finally over to Blue Astor Cabaret in Janesville Wisconsin to see ED’s 2022 Newcomer of the Year, Hayla Faye.
