Sad news in the industry: beloved adult film star Jesse Jane, 43, is found lifeless, along with her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller, at her home in Oklahoma, according to Daily Mail.
The couple, who had previously been involved in a domestic abuse case, were found at Jane’s property on Wednesday morning. Police in the city of Moore, Oklahoma, were responding to the address for a welfare check, after Hasenmueller hadn’t appeared at work for a few days, and discovered that the two had died. Law enforcement officials report that the adult film actress and her partner appear to have died of drug overdose.
The exact cause of death is currently unknown; an investigation by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner is underway now. The DailyMail.com reports that the Medical Examiner did not immediately respond to their requests for comment.
Jesse Jane was the co-host of the ED’s Awards Show in 2008 alongside Ronnie the Limo Driver of the Howard Stern Show. The Fort Worth, Texas native was also a past attendee of the EXPO and was a very successful touring feature entertainer in addition to her career as an adult film actress.
A name we all know well, Jesse Jane began her fame when she signed with Digital Playground in 2002. She went on to star in Pirates and Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge, a series of adult films which TMZ reports to have cost around $8 million to produce and are considered the most expensive adult films to date.
Throughout the length of her career, Jane has starred in more than one hundred adult film titles. The stardom earned from Pirates awarded Jane many more roles in adult film, as well as some roles in mainstream Hollywood, such as cameo appearance in the film Starsky & Hutch and a guest star role on the HBO dramedy series Entourage, making her one of the few adult film stars to successfully gain recognition outside of the adult industry. Jane has additionally posed on the cover of magazines including FHM, Maxim and Front.
Jane later joined Playboy, with a role on their popular live show called ‘Night Calls,’ as well as as host of their ‘Naughty Amateur Home Videos.’ Her extensive work in the adult industry saw her inducted into the AVN and XRCO Hall of Fames.
Jesse Jane was married to fellow porn actor Rick Patrick for seven years, but the couple divorced in 2012. She leaves behind one son, who was born in 2000.
