EDI West Starlet Division winner and Internationally recognized Canadian superstar, Rachel Rampage, talks prepping for competitions, performing for our neighbors to the north and “dog-walking” men on stage.

Rachel Rampage’s “Horny Housewife” performance not only earned her Starlet Winner and Hottest Body titles at the 2024 EDI West at Bucks Wild in Houston, but it also helped her get a foot in the door in the United States, a feat more difficult than one may think. And if anyone understands the struggles of booking feature gigs at clubs in the United States as a Canadian, it’s Rachel.
“It’s hard to be noticed by the right people when you can’t even legally work in the country you’re trying to get noticed in,” she laments.
At 6 feet 4 inches in heels, it’s tough to believe the professional dominatrix would have trouble standing out, but she’s been using her online presence to promote herself in the States in the meantime. Even though she has encountered some setbacks, she’s determined to get it done.
“I’ve seen it happen for others,” Rachel says while reassuring me she won’t give up.
From stage girl to feature
Rachel started in the adult industry working the circuit before becoming a regular at Brandi’s Show Lounge in Vancouver, the club famously known for entertaining Ben Affleck in 2003 and causing the demise of “Bennifer” (i.e., his first marriage to Jennifer Lopez). While there, she often performed themed shows on stage but didn’t consider herself a feature entertainer just yet.
“Featuring is different on the west coast of Canada,” she explains as I quickly look up a map of the country. She’s talking about Vancouver and the surrounding areas.
According to Rachel, Canada’s west coast clubs typically have two kinds of dancers: “Stage Girls” and “VIP Girls.” Stage girls are paid to perform several shows per night for a week or so before moving on to another club along the coast. Separately, VIP girls don’t go on stage. Instead, they offer lap dances in the VIP rooms and have to pay the club to work there.
“As a stage girl, I would travel from club to club, week to week dancing on stages, paying my own way,” Rachel recalls. “Vancouver doesn’t really book features very often because the city is saturated with stage girls.”
It wasn’t until she began producing adult video content that she started booking gigs at other clubs around Canada and promoting herself as a feature entertainer.
“I didn’t start ‘featuring’ until I filmed some XXX scenes,” she reveals. “That’s when I was offered a much higher show price for out-of-town (Canada’s East Coast) weekend gigs that paid for my hotel and airfare.”

A horny housewife at EDI West
While her experience as a stage girl in Canada certainly gave her a leg up, Rachel still went above and beyond to prepare for EDI West. She spoke to other feature entertainers who’ve competed in the EDIs previously, compiling their advice to come up with a strategy. Further, she didn’t put pressure on herself to walk away a winner.
“I chose to treat it as more of a showcase than a competition,” she admits. “So, if I did terribly my first time and totally missed the mark, I wouldn’t be so upset. I didn’t put an expectation on myself to win. Instead, I placed value on the content I’d get out of it. Of course, I was happy to win, but it wasn’t my only reason to be there.”
She did the same when prepping for Miss Nude Canada, but saw very different results.
“EDI West I won my division and Miss Nude Canada I didn’t even make the finals, further proving that winning isn’t the only reason to do things,” she suggests.
At least she got to show off some of her FemDom skills, performing a one-of-a-kind Dominatrix Cruella De Vil act.
“It’s my absolute favorite show I’ve ever performed and I really can’t wait to do it again,” she exclaims. “Anytime I get to walk a buff guy on a leash in a leather Dalmatian puppy mask in front of a live audience is a good day for me!”
Fantasies and big fat tips
When Rachel performs, there’s nothing she loves more than praise and applause from the audience. Nevertheless, between her height and leather garb, she understands she can appear threatening to some.
“I know I look very intimidating,” she conveys, “but I like to be a bit of a clown on stage. I love to be laughing and smiling even if I look like a giant Succubus.”
Looking forward, Rachel wants to expand her act and start performing as a feature entertainer in the United States. She imagines doing so while describing a scenario that many women might also fantasize about.
“In a perfect world, I would be feature dancing in both Canada and the United States on the weekends, dominating only the richest of clients who leave big fat tips and gifts for me during the week,” she envisions. “I’d be living in a big house somewhere sunny with hot slave boys who sleep in separate housing. They cook, clean and fan me by the pool, hand-feeding me cold, crisp red grapes.”
While this all sounds wonderful, Rachel left one small detail out of her fictional future:
“Oh yeah! My husband can live there too.”
