Held at Hard Rock Vegas’ Vanity Nightclub, EXPO 2018’s Opening Night Party showcased the convention’s “Party Business” theme (a takeoff on “Risky Business) by incorporating an ‘80s movie costume contest. But of course, the headline event of the Opening Night Party included eight ED Award presentations including staff awards (GM of the Year, DJ of the Year and Club Employee of the Year), four entertainer awards (International Showgirl, Newcomer, Adult Movie and Miss ExoticDancer.com) and the lone club award, International Club of the Year (a complete list of 2018 ED Award Winners can be found here: https://www.theedexpo.com/the-award-winners-2018 ).
While the ‘80s movie costume contest started with almost 30 entrants, representing a score of films including Top Gun, Weird Science, The Blues Brothers and even Howard the Duck, it came down to one winner: Prince. Or, rather, feature entertainer Justice, who was dressed as the late pop icon in his famous “Purple Rain” outfit.
