Is there such a thing as a “pop-up” strip club? We may be about to find out.
The Dome, a pop-up nightclub, opens today in downtown Miami, just in time for the Super Bowl — and its hundreds of thousands of visitors — to arrive in South Florida. The Dome is co-owned by former NFL (and Miami Hurricanes) star Edgerrin James and his partner, Atlanta nightclub owner Ainealem “Alex” Gidewon.
So, what exactly is The Dome? It’s basically what is says that it is: A pop-up nightclub that will boast a slew of special guests on four consecutive nights. The guests will reportedly include Future, Gucci Mane, Diddy, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Cardi B, Jeezy and more. This lineup is set to go head-to-head against E11EVEN Miami’s lineup, which is star-studded as well.
What’s caught our attention, however, is the final night’s event: “The Million-Dollar Stripper Bowl.” What exactly is this “Million-Dollar Stripper Bowl,” you ask? Great question. Unfortunately, no information is given on the event’s website about exactly what this event is, aside from the fact that it’s being hosted by Ceo “Pee” and the Family.
What we do know is that Edgerrin James posted a photo on Instagram with stacks and stacks of bills — allegedly, one million dollars in singles.
The question that has us scratching our collective heads is, how in the world can there be a pop-up strip club in the middle of Miami, if that is indeed what this “Million-Dollar Stripper Bowl” turns into? Ask any strip club owner how difficult it is to get, and maintain, a sexually-oriented-business (SOB) license, or a license to serve liquor in an establishment that is also presenting nude or semi-nude entertainment.
I’m sure we’ll all hear about this event come Tuesday morning!
