There’s nothing that says “Halloween” like horror movies, costumes, candy and … naked women?! Well, why not! Especially when you’re as hot as feature entertainer Dyna DiVine, who put together a bloody, vampire-themed photoshoot that looks as if it’s straight out of a Sam Raimi flick.

We had the chance to ask Dyna about this pulse-pounding pictorial, including the inspiration behind these stunning visuals.

ED: When did you do this photoshoot? Was it done specifically for the Halloween season, or for something else?

DYNA: I did this photoshoot in August in an abandoned house in Mississippi (with no AC 😰) specifically for Halloween. Spooky season is my favorite and I’ve always had a bit of a fetish when it comes to vampires. Pair that with my vampire feature act, and I felt like it would be the perfect photoshoot.

ED: Who is the photographer?

DYNA: Joel Wilson, is an incredible photographer who runs Soul + Flame Photography out of Charlotte, NC, is a good friend of mine and when I approached him about doing this kind of shoot, he was even more excited than I was! He is really into the dark, sultry vibe, but when you add gore into it, he is definitely in his element.

ED: How did you get the “blood” to look so realistic?

DYNA: We used stage blood for this, which was, obviously, super messy, but that, paired with great lighting made for some super realistic shots. It also helped that Joel and his assistants were there to help pour the blood on us, move tarps, hold lights, adjust hair, etc. There were lots of moving parts to this shoot, but it was totally worth it!

ED: What was the vibe you were going for with this photoshoot?

DYNA: My partner Jamie had shown me the music video for “Animal” by Maroon Five and mentioned collaborating on a shoot similar to the naked blood shots in that. The “You’ve Seen The Butcher” video by Deftones has always been a favorite of mine and I loved the whole “raining blood” thing they have going on and I wanted to re-create that, but make it my own and with Jamie and Joel’s help, we made some pretty magical stuff happen.

ED: Did you listen to any music to get you in the mood for this type of “themed” photoshoot?

DYNA: We created a ‘Bloodbath’ playlist on Spotify that we listened to while getting ready, driving to the location and while we shot. It was such a fun, and messy day, to say the least! Some of the songs included the following:

“Love You To Death” by Type O Negative
“Tear you apart” by She Wants Revenge
“Flesh” by Simon Curtis
“You’ve seen the butcher” by Deftones
“Closer” by Kings of Leon
“If I was your vampire” by Marilyn Manson
“Dragula” “Blood Milk and Sky” and “living dead Girl” by Rob Zombie
“Whore” “Adrenalize” and Sick Like Me” by In This Moment
“Bloodstream” by Stateless
“Under Your Skin” by Aesthetic Perfection

*The non-vampire pics were from a different shoot with “Boudoir By Marie”
