Crowning the winner at the EDI Finals

The EDI Finals are one of our most exciting annual events and undoubtedly the best way for entertainers to kick off the ED EXPO! Make sure to head to Bucks Cabaret on Sunday, August 25 to have a few cocktails and watch Justice, Autumn Knights, Phoenix Phires and Nia Nebula compete for the Overall EDI Champion title. Bucks will provide complimentary transportation from the Hyatt Regency Dallas starting at 8 pm.

Performing on the Tradeshow Mainstage

Don’t pass up on this opportunity to show off your skills for EXPO attendees! The tradeshow floor is open Monday, August 26 from 2 to 6 pm and Tuesday, August 27 from 1 to 5 pm, leaving plenty of time for you to take over a pole on the mainstage. To be considered for a time slot, email Kris at kris@edpublications.com. Please note that time slots are offered to entertainers with booths first.

Attending EXPO seminars

ENTERTAINERS ONLY: Dancer Safety Seminar

As an entertainer, you’re sometimes put in situations where your safety is at risk, and it can happen anywhere. It happens in the club: Customers try to get dancers overly intoxicated, slip something into their drinks or get too physical in the VIP rooms. It happens outside of the club: Customers attempt to follow dancers to their cars or stalk them online. It happens on the road: Traveling dancers and feature entertainers often travel by themselves and can face a myriad of issues while driving, including cars that break down, or safety issues at their hotels. Attend this seminar led by retired police detective Robert Smith of Nightclub Security Consultants to learn how to handle these kinds of situations and tips for staying safe in the workplace.

ENTERTAINERS ONLY: Mental Health Seminar

Creating and maintaining a balance between your work life and your private life is critical for an entertainer’s mental health. Our mental health experts will discuss the ways that you as an entertainer can ensure that you’re not bringing your work home with you, while also maintaining a positive frame of mind in the club. Helming this important seminar will be Dr. Monique Martinez-Quiros of Key Rose LLC, a doctorate-level, dually licensed (NV & AZ) behavioral health professional with a specialty in integrated behavioral health.

Advantages of Hiring Female Club Managers

The adult nightclub industry could not survive without women. You might think we mean the entertainers — and of course, that’s true — but we’re also talking about the women who are running clubs across the US today. This seminar will feature some of the top female club operators and will discuss the advantages that female GMs may have over their male counterparts, whether or not former entertainers can be successful managers and how to best integrate a female manager into your club’s operations. Whether you have aspirations to manage a club one day or want to learn more about the possibility, attend this seminar led by Heidi Santanello of Diamonds Cabaret in Sauget, IL and Amanda Laine of Spearmint Rhino in Lexington, KY.

Entertainer Retention Seminar

For many club owners and managers, the number-one issue they’re faced with on a daily basis is having enough quality entertainers. Of course, that’s no secret — clubs have struggled with this aspect of club operation for decades. But now, with the growth of sites like OnlyFans, it’s harder to “keep” the entertainers they have more than ever before. Our panel of experts will address these key issues, with a special concentration on the best strategies for entertainer retention. Speakers will include Caressa of Pole Position, Mark McAvoy of Bucks Cabaret in Columbus, Ohio and The Pony Clubs’ head DJ Jeb Jarrell.

Networking with club owners at The Showgirl Social

Are you a touring feature entertainer? If you are, make sure to attend The Showgirl Social on Monday, August 26 at 6 pm, sponsored by the Worldwide Showgirl Association. This one-hour invitation-only networking event features an open bar and is exclusive for feature entertainers and the club owners who book them!
“I’m so over the moon to be sponsoring this years ‘Showgirl Social’ at EXPO,” exclaims Raychel Revolver, head of the Worldwide Showgirl Association. “As a feature-turned-business-woman I have wanted nothing more than to be the catalyst for owner/feature engagement and what better way to get everyone together than in Dallas this August!”
Touring features interested in attending can RSVP by emailing Raychel Revolver at raychelrevolverxxx@gmail.com.
