ED Publications Founder Don Waitt was elected President of the National Association of Club Executives (ACE) at the association’s recent Board of Directors Meeting in Miami on Nov. 28. He succeeds Jason Mohney of Deja Vu and GoBEST! who served as ACE President for the past three years, helping shepherd ACE through the Covid pandemic.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be more actively involved in what ACE National will be doing over the next two years,” said Waitt. “Now that Dave Manack has taken over as Publisher at ED and I have stepped into a more advisory role as Founder, I
will have more time to dedicate to ACE. My primary goal is to increase ACE National’s interaction with all of the clubs, both big and small, in our industry. ACE National can be a phenomenal asset to all club operators.”
Other officers confirmed for the 2023-2024 term include David Fairchild of The Men’s Club as Vice President and Treasurer; David Baucom of MAL Entertainment as Secretary; and Jerry Westlund of the Pony Clubs as Sergeant-at-Arms. Voted to the ACE Executive Committee were Fairchild, Baucom, Westlund, and Jim St. John of Spearmint Rhibo and Ed Anakar of RCI Management.
The next meeting of the ACE National Board of Directors will be at 4 pm Monday, March 27, 2023. The meeting is traditionally held during the Nightclub & Bar Convention which will be March 27-29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The first half of the ACE Board of Directors meetings are open to adult nightclub operators and industry professionals; the second half is for board members only.
