ED: What does it mean to be named Miss ExoticDancer.com of the Month for October 2019?
DIVINE: Having this sort of title, all the while being new to the industry, is such an honor. I am thankful to this community for giving me an outlet to express my creativity in erotic settings, while pushing my limits creatively. October and Halloween have always been my favorite time of the year, and given that I like to get a little spooky and light myself on fire, I feel like this is an appropriate month for me.
ED: How did you get in the industry?
DIVINE: Stephanie Wilbanks, of The Pony Clubs, approached me last October, actually, about being a regular feature at the Memphis location. Given that I hadn’t danced in clubs before, I didn’t really know what that meant, but I was up for it. Fast forward and here we are a year later!
ED: Your favorite thing about the industry?
DIVINE: The sense of community is really a wonderful thing to see. Society has such a stigma surrounding sex work, but when you go to the conventions and you meet the club owners and other dancers and features, and you really get involved in this world, there is so much positivity to be seen.
ED: Your favorite thing about yourself?
DIVINE: My drive. I never let anything stop me from achieving the goals I have set for myself.
ED: What gets your motor purring?
DIVINE: Good conversation, good grammar, and Pinot Noir.
ED: What is your favorite saying?
DIVINE: Busy is better than boring.
ED: Best and worst pick-up line?
DIVINE: Worst is “Are you from Tennessee because you’re the only 10 I see.” Yes, this has been used multiple times. The best is “Damn girl, you look powerful.”
