Continuing an aggressive expansion strategy, Deja Vu Services, Inc., announced its affiliate’s definitive agreement to acquire The World-Famous Big Al’s Gentlemen’s Club in Peoria, Illinois.
“We’re very excited to announce that Big Al’s has joined the world leader in live adult entertainment,” says Ryan Carlson, Deja Vu’s CEO.
Peoria, the largest city in central Illinois, was a prime target for a Deja Vu-affiliated adult nightclub. With six more locations currently under contract, the Deja Vu group is poised to see massive growth, particularly in the Midwest. “No competing club chain has even half as many locations as our group, nor a premium product that has proven itself coast to coast. We’re excited for the continued growth opportunities that continue to come our way,” exclaims Carlson.
Peoria’s #1 strip club for over 30 years, Big Al’s is truly famous and well-known throughout the Midwest. It will transition to new leadership in October. The club features a 25,000 square foot facility with beautiful dancers, live nude entertainment, private champagne rooms, 3 full liquor bars, and the only adult license in Peoria. “We believe this location is our latest step in dominating the Illinois market,” explains Jerry Westlund, a partner in the acquisition and many Deja Vu-affiliated clubs. “This club was already a great performer, and we look forward to its continued improvement.”
With Deja Vu clubs already the undisputed market leader in the Midwestern United States, the new Peoria location “represents an opportunity for growth into a highly populated market,” says Carlson. “We’re excited to further expand our special brand of entertainment in Central Illinois, and look forward to making life-long guests at this new location.”
Big Al’s relocated to its all-new facility in downtown Peoria just a few years ago. The club’s 40-plus year history in Peoria has made it an icon for locals and conventioneers. “We plan to continue the former owner’s vision of making Big Al’s a part-time center for mainstream events like concerts, comedians, and the like,” continues Carlson. “Mr. Zuccarini had a passionate vision for downtown Peoria that we look forward to building on. Big Al’s seems to have a great team capable of executing this vision and we look forward to being part of that.”
The World-Famous Big Al’s is located at 400 SW Jefferson Avenue in downtown Peoria and is open daily.
