Tacboy felt legacy coursing through him.

Hardly a surprise, given it’s literally in his blood. Tacboy, who has dropped “Oh My Heart”, is the son of Chicago house vocalist Pepper Gomez, who also worked on the track.

“Very cool to do a song that was in her genre of house,” says Tacboy. “I’m used to recording alone or with my brother in the complete dark but it was definitely beneficial to have another singer in the studio with me. My brother and I don’t really have songs like that, but she told me to make it my own, so that’s what I did. I tend to get wasted when making music and it was funny to see my mom experience my creative process.”

ExoticDancer.com spoke with Tacboy courtesy of StripJointsMusic.com about his familial single “Oh My Heart”, Jim Morrison’s influence on him and performing alongside his brother.

ED: Talk about Jim Morrison’s influence on your style? What is it about him that makes you such a fan?

Tacboy: Damn, well he influenced me throughout my whole life from hearing him played in the car to listening to him on my phone. I love how his lyrics can be so simple but have different meanings to how you, the listener, are feeling at the time. You can tell he was genuinely smart and not just in regards to music. My mama has always compared me to him and as I get older I begin to see the correlation more and more—from the lyrics to the hair to the way of life.

ED: What’s been your most memorable performance so far?

Tacboy: Well I’ve yet to perform with the ET Boys but it’s something i’ve always been used to. I used to play guitar for my church and play soccer at a high level. Pressure is something i’m used to and fueled by. I’m also a signed model and have been in front of the camera a multitude of times. This pandemic put a pause on the performance aspect, but I’m excited to be on stage with my brother.

ED: What can you share about your work with the ET Boys featuring your brother?

Tacboy: I gotta say it’s hard to categorize as we make music that doesn’t really sound like anything out at the moment. My brother Sharkeyes, is the real star of this as he creates all my sounds. I simply just accompany the music with my voice. We pull inspiration from all of our childhood music ranging from System of a Down to Lil Wayne. It’s a really distinct sound where if you listen to any of our songs, you’d be able to say, ‘Yeah, that’s an ET Boys song.’”

ED: What else do you have planned for the rest of 2021—shows, touring, other work, etc.?

Tacboy: We have two singles coming out with accompanying videos. I think they are very fucking clean, but I’ll let the people decide. We will have new singles dropping regularly so be ready for that.

ED: StripJoints services DJs at gentlemen’s clubs nationwide, so tell us why “Oh My Heart” would be a good choice to play at a gentlemen’s club?

Tacboy: Well just listen to it. It’s got everything you need to move your body to. I have dancer friends here in Miami as well as in New Orleans and they think its great. I would love to get a dance to this song even if personally to me the lyrics make me a bit sad.
